100’s of emails and thousands of DM’s?!? I have no interest in “Crushing It!” if it requires me to be stretched out like the skin lady from Dr. Who. I wouldn’t be able to afford attendants to spray me with moisturizer every few minutes so I wouldn’t crack.

What about you?

Agreed. I have never had any desire to “crush” anything.
While what he says is generally good advice, for the majority of people it’s completely unrealistic. And is it really so terrible of me to not want to ‘connect’ with absolutely everyone?
Perhaps peeps have lost the plot? In aspiring to bring a sense of balance, perspective… and integrity to ones circle of interaction- imho it has to be about quality – not quantity. Am I being unrealistic… even altruistic in thinking so?
I have met Gary a number of times. He’s one of a kind. True to himself and what he believes. And actually an example to others about what’s possible if that’s what you want. However, there is nothing in anything he’s ever said or written that’s as good as these two sentences, “I have no interest in “Crushing It!” if it requires me to be stretched out like the skin lady from Dr. Who. I wouldn’t be able to afford attendants to spray me with moisturizer every few minutes so I wouldn’t crack.”
Best short post I’ve read in a long time.

I think it’s doable. Especially while drinking fine wine.
This reminds me of the 4-hour workweek.
I’m with Seth & Kathryn on this one.
I want to do my best but still maintain a life away from all of this social media/response world.
Gary may be happy to reply to thousands of DMs and hundreds of e-mails a day, me, I’ll be happy to reply to a hundred e-mails a week at most.
